The “Taste of Fashion” event was an awareness and capital gains fundraiser for the Kansas City Autism Training Center and was a huge success! There was amazing food catered in by Lon Lane’s Inspired Occasions, spectacular photography done by Lucky Photography and NightLifeKC, a full ice bar provided by Cool Carvings, and was all put on by the incredibly talented Moxi Event Planning Service. The event also included a silent auction with great gifts, a live auction including vacations, jewelry, and signed memorabilia. Aristocrat Motors donated a brand new Mercedes GLK350 for a raffle while having several luxury and exotic cars in the parking lot near the cigar tent. The event was extremely successful and                                                        will now be an annual event so keep checking in to                                                          see when and where it will be next year!

I lit the bar area at the Screenland Crossroads location for “Disco Night.” This was to help push the feel for Disco since Counter Clockwise Comedy was roasting the movie “Saturday Night Fever.” I brought in a full lighting set up around the bar along with behind the bar. The comedians were super excited and the crowd was very pleased to see a difference in the atmosphere from a normal movie theater!

I had a great time Djing the B’s Dance Studio Sip’N'Shop Fashion show this weekend! There was an hour pre-party, 30 minute show, and hour and a half after-party. The show included clothing from Pour Moi Boutique with left over winter fashions and upcoming spring fashions. I played lounge shopping music for the pre-show and then had a powerful mix for the show with more upbeat lounge music for the after party. We are gracious that they donated the cover at the door to the Autism Foundation and included wine for the attendees! Congrats on a successful event ladies!

We had the pleasure of helping the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church of Olathe, Kansas put on a very successful event at the Fraternal Order of Police of Overland Park’s event center. The theme of this function was American Bandstand with music starting in the 1930’s and going all the way to the hits of this fall! I believe we played around 150-175 songs in a 4 hour time period! There were people showing up dressed in their favorite era costume and dancing all night long!

We had the pleasure of DJing the Circuit City car show in Springfield, Missouri in July of 2006. This was a very successful event with free food, prizes, great cars, and even a burn out competition. We played for 9 hours under a huge tent and even submitted our own car in the contest. We give congratulations to Alan for winning the Viewer’s Choice award with his 1969 Chevelle SS that was original, clean, and of course fast! We submitted our car in the burn out competition and won by a landslide!
